Inside PNK // The 'Extend' Exercise Class
On holiday
12-16 people attend the class in the Back Hall every Thursday from 10.15 to 11.15am. They are a lively, sociable group of ladies and one brave man.
We start with a walk around the hall to Helen Shapiro singing 'Walking back to happiness' or 'Saturday Night Fever' - obvious age group - over sixty. This is followed by some seated exercises to gently warm up the muscles before stretching, balancing, bending and dancing. Everyone works at their own pace and ability. The facial muscles are well worked with chatting and laughing. After the exercises, its back to the chairs for slowing down and relaxation.
The aim of the class is to promote improvement in posture and co-ordination, increase mobility and muscle tone, stimulate the health of the body and mind and to obtain the best mileage from our bodies. The donations of £2 for this class benefit special projects.
