Penicuik Churches Shopping Service
The shopping service is open to any member of the community who would benefit from a service to help them with their weekly shopping. We have a team of twenty volunteers from all the churches in Penicuik, who work in teams of two. At present we are assisting five people who are finding it difficult to go for shopping or carrying home their shopping. Our volunteers arrange to visit these clients to find out their needs, collect their shopping and deliver it back to their home. The service is essentially a neighbourhood act of help, carried out in a very informal way without fuss.
