The Monday night Bible Study group meets every week at 7.30 pm, mainly at the home of Cathie Ramsay. At present, we are 7 in number but this can vary from time to time.

We start our meeting with a short prayer or devotional reading and then turn to our "little books". We use the Scripture Union "Lifebuilder" series which we find ideal for us. As we are all at different stages of our journey of faith, this Bible Study group helps us all to move a little bit further along at our own pace. The group is very informal and everyone is encouraged to give his/her opinion or thoughts on what is being discussed. We often digress, but always in a way which gives us a better understanding of the passage we have read and the questions being asked in the study book. Some members of the group have different Bible translations and this also helps to give another perspective on the study.

After all the hard work, we stop at about 9 pm for a welcome cuppa - the hospitality is fantastic - and have a general chat before heading for home.

The group is involved in helping with the Prayer Request drop in June each year and we provide the after church coffees one month a year. The money raised from the coffees, along with the 5Op each which we bring along every week, pays for our study books, gives a donation to the annual church Christmas Hamper appeal and also gives a donation to a charity of our choice. We also take an evening service in the church once a year.

As I said, the group is informal - and very warm and welcoming - some might say laid back! No-one need ever feel foolish about asking a question or making a comment made - we are none of us perfect - we all have a lot to learn from each other.
